While in Goa's Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary (8th to 10th March 2013) I went hiking into the jungle behind the Mahadeva temple in Tambdi Surla with Pramod and two other German birders. A street dog accompanied us from the temple area.
Strangely, some bonnet macaques started making these alarm calls when they saw the dog, thinking it to be a wild dog. I found this quite strange. Later we saw the rotting skeleton of a deer that was killed by wild dogs some time back.
